Terms & Conditions
 
1. Payment Terms
 
Installation Contracts

• 70% deposit required upon order placement.

• 20% payable upon confirmation of the installation date (prior to commencement).

• 10% final balance payable immediately upon practical completion.

Supply-Only Contracts

• 70% deposit required upon acceptance.

• 30% balance payable prior to collection or delivery.

Small & Custom Orders

• All custom steel orders and any orders below R8,500.00 must be paid in full at the time of order.

General

• All invoices are payable upon presentation via EFT only.

• A signed quote or proof of payment constitutes formal acceptance of these terms.

• No retention amounts are applicable.

Cancellations

• Written notice must be provided within 24 hours of payment.

• A R450.00 administration fee will apply.

• The client remains liable for any costs incurred on custom materials already purchased.

2. Guarantees and Ownership

Ownership

• All goods remain the property of Capra Projects (Pty) Ltd until paid in full.

Workmanship Guarantee

• Workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months.

• Hardware items are subject to manufacturer/supplier warranties.

Conditions

• Guarantees are only valid once the account is fully settled.

• Snag list items fall under the guarantee but do not justify withholding final payment.

3. Product Specifications & Aperture Preparation

Measurements

• Apertures will be measured by Capra Projects prior to manufacturing.

• For supply-only contracts, the client is fully responsible for measurements.

Final Finishes

• Balustrade measurements can only be finalized after staircases are cladded and tiled.

• Hardware must be installed before Cemcrete application.
   

Made-to-Measure Products

• Orders cannot be cancelled or altered once manufacturing has begun.

• Any changes will be for the client’s account.

Accuracy

• Clients are responsible for verifying quotation accuracy.

• Only written changes will be recognized.

4. Manufacturing & Lead Times

Standard Items

• Estimated lead time: ±21 working days from final measurement.

Special Orders / Powder Coating

• Special colours require ±15 working days.

• Clients must provide accurate colour codes or samples.
   

Force Majeure

• Capra Projects is not liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control, including:

  • Acts of God

  • Industrial action

  • Transport delays

5. Delivery & Risk

Transfer of Risk

• Risk passes to the client immediately upon delivery.

Condition of Goods

• Goods delivered with protective packaging are deemed to be in good condition.

• No liability is accepted for theft, loss, or damage after delivery.

6. Installation Requirements

Site Readiness

• Sites must be fully prepared (plastering, painting, tiling complete) before installation.

• Exception: recessed glass balustrades (must be coordinated accordingly).

• Removal and reinstallation due to incomplete site readiness will incur additional fees.

Utilities

• The client must provide electricity on installation days.
   

Access

• Any estate or complex access/registration fees are for the client’s account.

Operating Hours

• Monday–Thursday: 08:00 – 17:00

• Friday: 08:00 – 14:00

• After-hours or weekend work will incur additional charges.

Limitations of Liability

• No guarantee of waterproofing for tracks installed on tiles.

• No responsibility for:

  • Uneven floors

  • Damage to tiles, plaster, or paint due to standard installation

• Scaffolding is provided up to 3m only; additional requirements are for the client’s account.

7. Quote Validity & Acceptance

Validity

• Quotes are valid for 30 working days, unless market conditions require earlier adjustment.

Exclusions

• Unless stated otherwise, the following are excluded:

  • Building work

  • Plastering

  • Painting

  • Tiling

Material Changes

• Any specification changes after acceptance may result in revised pricing.

8. General

Marketing

• Capra Projects reserves the right to use photos/videos of installations for marketing and social media.

Amendments

• Terms may be amended at the company’s discretion.

• Breach of these terms may result in legal action to recover damages or enforce rights.
